Pumpkin Patch

Every year we take H to the pumpkin patch. She loves it, I love it and it's cheap entertainment. We always go to Motleys. It's funny looking back. The first time we took H I spend days picking out her outfit. Cause you know it's all about the pictures you take at the pumpkin patch.

This was my favorite from the first year

Oh the cuteness, I know I'm a little bias but my word I loved me some one year old H.

Second year

Isn't it amazing how much they change in one year. Love my little sassy girl....

And then we have this year. They year where SHE decided what she's going to wear and how she's going to wear it. help me.

Here favorite part of the pumpkin patch, like always was the huge pile of hay/straw (like I know the difference) with the slide. I'd like to note that I didn't have to nonchalantly  give a kid the evil eye for pushing H this year.

we fed the farm animals again this year. H always thinks she likes doing this until she gets slobber on her hands or when the chicken scares her. The entire feeding the animals gross me out, especially when the Billy goats just decided to poop randomly. It reminds me of the candy Whoopers. I just don't get it? I digress

Mom got to go with us this year, we just love having her here, I know she'll be headed to STL soon. We are going to miss her.

I hope I never forget H at age 3

I know H has only been three for a short time but it seems like over night she has grown into her own little indepentant person. She is full of personality. #shegetsitfromhermamma.

I hope I never forget H at age three.

We went for her 3yr old check up yesterday.

Her Stats:

Weight: 30pd (finally) 41%. She's always been low in her weight. She's a great eater.

Length: 31 3/4 65% she has really grown over the year. She's ALL legs.

The 411 on our little sunshine:
1. She LOVES banana's. Will eat them all day every day.

2. She really into princess, barbies, Sofia the First and Doc McStuffins.

3. She loves going to "school" we are sure she is teacher's pet. EVERY time we pick her up she is usually sitting in Ms. Connie's lap. She gets along very well with the other kids. We really feel like she is learning a lot in school. Her vocabulary has expanded majorly.

4. She still calls sunscreen "sunscream" and I think it's adorable and always make her reapeat it 3 times just to hear her say "sunscream"

5. She is getting better at wearing clothes. She loves her (matilda jane) party dress and her Mickey Mouse tank top. She would wear these every day if we'd let her.

6. She has learned to swing by herself #thankyoubabyjesus

7. She is still a Daddy's girl. MAJORLY. it's ok I no longer take it personal.

8. She loves putting puzzel's together.

9. She loves putting blankets on her hear and calling herself tangeled. HA, I totally did this as a child. Minus the tangeled part.

10. She loves to pray before each meal and at bed time. Her little prayers are so sweet. My favorite is still:

Now I lay me down to sleep, No more Monkey's jumping on the bed...AMEN.

Three Things Thursday

It has been a whirlwind of tears, party dresses, girls night, angry orchard, running, bed time stories, and hair cuts in the L house. Do you ever wish things would just slow down? Would the crazy mom please raise her hand?!

1. We are exactly 4 weeks away from our childless beach vacation. I am so looking forward to a week of laying on the beach, no cell phone, no tv, just me and the ocean, a book and a umbrella drink.

2. I am 12 weeks aways from my next race. This time I am going to try something new. It's a new thing called TRAINING. Yep, who would have thought? It's go time. Plus this race is in STL. What a better place to run than your home town with friends and family cheering you on.

3. I'd like to reserve a special place in heaven for my husband. He has really stepped it up these last weeks. I recently changed my schedluled to work 4 ten hour days. which means mommy leaves for work at 5am. READ: daddy gets H up and ready for school. Did I mention H is NOT a morning person? yes, poor daddy.

She's Three going on 13

Sweet Sassy Hannah Le'Anne

How did you get to be so big?! where does the time go? I really have to make myself stop and enjoy this moment. I know before I know it she'll be driving and in college before I know it.

Here is H at 3

  • Weighing in at a whooping 30 pounds! Finally!

  • She LOVES going to school

  • Her BFF are : Owen and Sawyer. She says the girls have too much drama. Ha, I kid

  • Bed time 9pm. Thank you baby Jesus.

  • See that dress in that picture. that is referred to as her "party dress" girlfriend LOVES this $40+ matilda Jane dress. I used to cringe when she drank milk with this dress on. Now we wear it ALL the time. Sleeps in it, waits for it to come out of the dryer.  That thing gets washed every night. Some days I'm just not up for the battle.

  • We are told by her teacher that she is very smart. Of course we think so, but we are very proud of her. She know most of her colors, can count to 12, knows her ABC's and speaks some Spanish but I have no idea what she's saying because I dropped Spanish as soon as I was told it wasn't a requirement.

  • Her new phrase is: "You're driving me nuts" it was cute the first time, we had to really hide our laughing. Now we are teaching her to be nice with her words.

  • Favorite song: I promise I am not lying. She will burst out "Everyone hurts sometimes"
It sounds just like:

  • But when we ask her where she heard that song, she says from Doc McStuffins. I sure hope, otherwise I need to have a talk with M and his music selection.
  • Hannah is still a Daddy's girl. Can we say wrapped around finger. All she has to say is "Please just for a little bit" he melts like butter.
  • Favorite movie as of know... BARBIE. I swear it looks like the Barbie truck blew it's load in my house. I swear I was only semi into Barbie when I was like 8. kid's start so young these days.
  • H's eat well. still loves her banana's veggies and would prefer milk over any other drink. She does love her sweets. She gets that from her mamma.
  • H has a very soft sweet side to her. She still says "I want to hug you" and that means I want you to pick me up. She's always said hug and it's too sweet to correct her.
  • She hates any thing tight. She won't wear shorts, pants or most skirts. only dresses. She also refuses to wear any shoes except for flip flops. yeah our mornings are real fun. oh and she hated getting her hair brushed. Please tell me they grow out of this stage fast.
  • She is truly our pride and joy.

Hannah's Birthday Take Two

You know living in a different state than the rest of your family really has its benefits.

 Like for instance:

No Aunt Betty we can not make your cookies with Santa, we are six hours away or No, (insert friends name) we are not able to help you move...we are six hours away. I kid I kid, we are totally up for cookies for Santa. Have you ever been to a retirement home? They serve booze!

I digress

One of the major down falls of living six hours away with the ONLY grandchild, it birthdays.  We normally make the trip to STL for H's birthday but this year I decided it would be a good idea to throw two birthday parties. one in AR and one in MO.

Who was riding safety when I made that decision? I must have been out of my mind.

I will be happy to announce that M didn't serve me my walking papers and we lived through the LR birthday party, a 6 hour drive to STL, a STL party and he's even ok with me totally leaving him the next two weekends for a girls weekend. #WINNING

So back to STL.

We loaded the car Friday after work and set out for STL. M took the first shift, while I sat and  watched movies played with H in the back seat. Next thing I knew we were at my parents doorstep. H and I were all bright eyed and bushy tailed and M somewhat resembled Shrek, a very tired Shrek. We made it to STL around 1am.

since I slept 5 out of the 6 hour drive I was wired for sound. I couldn't go to sleep.  Next thing I knew it was 6am. I jumped up and immediately put my running clothes on. My parents live less than a mile from Tower Grove Park. This park is beautiful (we'll minus the night life, occasional fights and random homeless people that like to hang in the bushes) just don't go there after dark and you are good.

So I laced up my shoes and hit the pavement. it was 70 outside. 70. I couldn't believe it. LR weather has been set on HELL for the last month. I was happy as a clam.

I headed straight to my now local sole sista's house and woke her ass up, along with a few of her neighbors. I couldn't remember her house number. Ol' girl just moved and I had to see her house. It's beautiful by the way. AND I'm pretty sure her new boyfriend thinks I'm a few fries short of a happy meal.

Off we went for a quick run with the hounds. Running in my old neighborhood with my bestie really give me a good home feeling. pure happiness.

I had 503,232 things to do before the birthday party started at 2:00pm. Pick up cake, balloons, decorate, bathe H. cook, drink a glass of wine etc etc.  oh did I mention I thought it would be a great idea to take H's 3yr old pictures before her party at the Botanical Gardens.

again, who was riding safety when I made these decisions?

H's pictures turned out wonderful. I'm actually really glad I had them done.

By the time 1:30 rolled around. H was dressed, cake and balloons were picked up, house was semi decorated and I had my happy ass on the back porch with a glass of wine.

I love H's STL party. It's really a "Mike and Amie are in town everyone come over and bring your kids" it's great. we sit and laugh with all of our friends and family.

H had a great time. and by had a great time I mean she passed out super early and slept like a ROCK.

And, I have no pictures because my super awesome friend who is a photographer was in charge of all that. So I'll have to update those later.

All in all it was a great time. Next year, I'm thinking one birthday party will be plenty.

Happy Birthday Baby Girl!

MKDS

Hannah took dance lessons for MKDS this school year. I'm not big on Dance moms but I though it was good to get out and meet new people. Plus H's BFF EG was taking the class, who was taught by EG's KK translation grandma, so...I knew H would be in good hands. Plus at the time H loved being in her tap shoes and tutu's. Little did I know that phase would end and it would take an entire bag of skittles to make that girl keep her ($85.00) dance recital costume on. #nextyearitssoccer

Dance recital day went off on high note... She got up...of course we didn't get her dressed until we got to the stadium and by "got to the stadium" I mean, I could pawn her off to one of the cutesy 18 yr old girl that H adored and would do anything including putting her dance recital costume on.

I can't say I blame her, there was an abundance of Tulle going on in that outfit. H kept saying it was itchy. poor baby, I know it was.

But she held on like a trooper. She was in good spirits. Of course I was in countdown mode. 5 minutes until Showtime, that means 20minutes and this thing is over, H is out of that itchy mess and we are on our way home....

3 minutes till show time...

H: Mamma...I need to go potty...

REALLY!

we scurry to the bathroom, potty, readjust her Tulle, so the itchy spots won't itch, bribe  chica with skittles just in time for show time.

I handed her off and left for the auditorium. To find M, who I totally deserted. Whoops.

We found each other and sat just as the lights went down.

The tiny two's was the first act.

H came out so proud, and so big. The tears just welled up in my eyes.

H is such a leader, always has been. I know she was next to EG, just so EG wouldn't freak and stay out on the stage. H did every move, smiled and sang so loud.

I couldn't believe that was my baby. So big and so independent.

I was totally trying to hold the tears back, but I just couldn't. It's hard watching your baby grow up.

She did great, and we did just like any other proud parent. After her song, we grabbed her and left. They were smart when they put two year olds first.

We headed to find Daddy, and H was all smiles until...she realized she still had the costume on...

yep, She's two...Bless her heart...

She wanted her daddy...

Can I just say how unfair it is that she's a daddy's girl?! I mean really, I gained the weight, I have the stretch marks and she's a DADDY'S GIRL!! so unfair...no justice

I digress...

first things first...

H dumped the Tulle and got comfortable...

Came home and passed out for two hours!

I'll take it!!

It all started with a banana

So....

The other night, M and I thought we'd watch a movie in our room... you know all romantic like. We'll we couldn't find the dang remote for the T.V. We looked everywhere. I'm not sure if you've meet our little H.

Don't let the cuteness fool you...she's pretty much the female version of Dennis the Menace

She's know to hide, keys, cell phones, remotes you name it. Nothing is safe.

So we asked H a million times. Where did you put the remote? Nothing, girlfriend all of a sudden developed dementia. I had the bright idea to pull the bed out and look to see if it had fallen behind the bed.

Oh lawrd, I was so not ready to see what was behind the bed!

H, aka Dennis the Menace, had stuck a banana behind the bed. Yep, there my eyes laid on a brown mushy banana stuck to the wall. I immediately started gagging and yelled for M. of course the first words out  his mouth was...we'll at least it wasn't my side of the bed. Really?
Then he proceeded with "How did you not smell that?" you smell everything.

omg, I have nightmares about food being stuck behind things and ants coming in the house...I mean we've all seen arachnophobia...and we know I have a head full of THICK BLACK HAIR!!! Bugs love that shit!

PANIC. MODE. STARTED.

I couldn't wait to get every inch of our bedroom clean. I was a cleaning maniac. I pulled out the Kirby and all 405 of it's attachments and went to town  I'm telling you, if it wasn't attached to something it was getting thrown out.

so now we have a no eating in bedrooms rule, a clean bedroom and now mama can sleep without having spaz attacks of Ants building villages in her hair.

See....

.

I thought, I'd add a little color to the love shack. This quilt was Linda's. I absolutely love it.er

So after I busted the quilt out the need to head on over to hobby lobby for a few little colorful items to make our clean non-rotten banana room pop.

I found this picture at Hobby Lobby, originally $59.99 but lord knows I didn't pay that. It was one  sale for 40% off, BUT it had a little damage on the back so the sweet lady gave it to me for $20.00! it never hurts to ask!

Plus it goes perfect with these little guys...

So now I sit with a spotless colorful bedroom free of ants and bananas...

Mama can sleep now!

Little Miss H

Our little Miss H will be three years old next month....

While I am so excited to get out of the terrible two's, I am so sad that she is growing so fast.

We decided about a month ago to enroll her in "School". This was such a hard decision for me. While H was more than ready. I just wasn't ready to trust complete strangers to care for my child.

H was so safe and clean and slightly spoiled at her current sitter. We loved Ms. S. She took such good care of H. She seriously loved H like her own. We felt that it was time for H to learn that the world didn't revolve around her. bless her only child heart. She is rotten. So, what do we do? we throw her in with a bunch of children and force her to share. HA!

Seriously H is an angel. I don't know about you but my child acts like an angel for other people. It's so not fair.

H loves school. She loves going, she is making friends, she's running, taking field trips, learning to share, cleaning her plate, and most importantly sleeping like a rock at night. (in her own bed might I add)

We really feel like we made the right decision to enroll her in school. The plus side of our some country town is she will be with the kids all through her school years. (unless god willing M's job takes us back to STL)

While we are sad that she is growing so fast before our eyes, we are so thankful for our little sassy H.

Thursday Thoughts

I'm proud to say I've gotten off my lazy butt and started running. EVERYDAY. I even get up in the mornings and take Manny for a walk. M says I'm a much nicer person when I run. Isn't he a Romeo? I do feel a lot better and somehow I've lost 3 pounds this week. Happy Days!

I've cleaned up my eating. No more Easter candy, no more rice, no carbs, no soda, and are you ready...NO DRINKING DURING THE WEEK. GASP!

M is in another wedding this summer. It's amazing. When we got married, I was told "Just wait and see all of M friends are going to fold". It's been a waterfall effect. Seriously 4 of M's closest friends have gotten married since we have. We've only been married 4 years. M has been in all the weddings. Which hasn't been bad. I'm really looking forward to the wedding this September in Destin. They are getting married on our anniversary, so I've somehow wiggled in a Romantic getaway. And by romantic I mean: adult conversation, wine, no Disney channel and sleeping without H's foot in my face. Jealous much?

M is hosting the bachelor party this weekend. When I get home tonight I totally expect to have 3-4 grown men in my living room huddled around the TV with beer cans all around the house oh and lets not forget the toilet seat left up. I'll walk in with a smile and not say a word. Nothing is going to steal my joy. I will have the house to myself until Sunday.

Yesterday, marked the anniversary of when M and I met. Cardinals home opener 4/10/06. Seven years, sometimes It feels like 70 I kid I kid I knew M wouldn't remember. I thought I'd be sweet and leave him a little something in his car. He called me freaking out because he forgot and thought it was our wedding anniversary. I said that's ok, Cash is fine

M is testing my patience. Like Bad. He's off today and keeping H. Why did he just call and I could totally tell he was in the car  and ask if it was ok if he brought H to my office while he ran a couple of errands? REALLY? It is beyond me how he can manage HUNDREDS of people at work but he can not run errands with our 2 year old. Bless him.

Happy Thursday!

Hannah Le'Anne

I haven't done a post in awhile just on H. Since she is the reason why I started this blog, I feel the need to do an entry since this is somehow going to be her baby book. Yes, Mother of the Year.

She seriously is our pride and joy. We are so thankful for her good health, her sassy personality and her sweet sweet spirit.

  • She is weighing in at a tiny 27 pounds. I swear we will never hit 30 pounds.
  • She is a good eater for the most part. She still LOVES her fruit. Her favorites are still macaroni and cheese and cheeseburgers. The girl LOVES her cheese
  • She is Potty trained. Can someone say Glory! She was pretty easy. She hated diapers. It just took a little patience and a few M&M's and we were golden
  • She still goes to the sitter. She loves EG. She talks about her all the time and says she's her best friend.
  • She is defiantly a night owl. I swear she requires no sleep
  • She hates getting her hair brushed. help me Jesus I am in trouble
  • She hates brushing her teeth. Yep, our mornings are real fun
  • She knows all the words to Baby and suffers from Bieber Fever

  • She is talking a lot. Full sentences. When she gets really excited about something she says "Rock n Roll"
  • She still says " I hug you" when she wants to be picked up. It's the sweetest thing.
  • She loves going to the movies with her daddy. She doesn't make a peep the entire movie.
  • She is in a size 8 shoe. craziness
  • She loves Barbie and the Pink Shoes
  • She loves ballet and wears her tap shoes all the time
  • She loves wearing dresses

We are so blessed. I can't imagine life without our little H.

Tuesday Thoughts

Happy Tuesday Ya'll!

Can I just say how nice it was to have a three day weekend, cause it was nice. I defined laziness. True story. I had 302,633 things to completed and I finished 1/2 of one. I know, my house looks like an episode of Hoarders but what ev. I got in some good quality time with my wonderful hubs (who went to Jared's for Vday) and my sweet H.

Friday, I ran like it was my only way into heaven. 8 miles on the dreadmil. KILLED IT. Did  I mention the LR half is 2 weeks away.

Saturday, we got up bright and early and got our taxes done. I don't know why but I love finding out how much money we will be getting back. We weren't five steps from the door before the sentence " let's book our vacation" came out of my mouth. M laughs, he wants to save and put away for a rainy day. I want to splurge on a beach vacation and umbrella drinks. You only live once! I skipped my run Saturday.

Sunday, was absolutely gorgeous. We spend the day outside playing with neighbors, feeding the birds, and of  course bubbles. When we got bored with our house we went to the park. M played with H while I got my miles in. I felt very blessed that day.

Monday, I sat on my butt all day like it was my job. I had the house all to myself. I could watch my shows without re-winding it 30 times. It was beautiful and relaxing all at the same time. I skipped my run. I didn't want to over exert myself.

So, I have to share. H is 99.9% potty trained. I don't even want to say we haven't had accidents at night because I don't want to jinx myself (but we haven't) I really have to say she was really easy at potty training. Mostly because she was super excited about "princess panties" to match her "princess night gown" I mean we are all about "princess" these days. So we made a huge deal about H's pretty princess panties. (oh note: We have princesses aka Cinderella and Angelina the ballerina and we also have Barbie who is a princess, basically any girl that dances is referred to a "princess" in our home)
H loved having her princess panties on. I mean she was BIG TIME.

So, one night H picked  these panties for bedtime:

Well Mother of the year award, says "Don't potty on Princess" I noticed H gave me a confused look but I brushed it off. Well that night she fought and fought going to bed. Then she woke up screaming and trying to pull her panties off. It really didn't click until days later when she saw these panties in the laundry basket and she said " Don't potty on Princess, She's mean"

oh boy.

So then we had to have a talk about how there are only nice princess, she just doesn't want to be pottied on.

H.L

I can't tell you how blessed I am to have H. She is my pride and joy, the pepper to my salt and I'll just stop there.

I am reminded daily how quick life can change.

I am making it a personal goal to stop and smell the roses. I don't want to take one minute for granted. H is growing so fast. When did she get to be so grown?!

Hannah Le'Anne at 2.5 years old.

1. Laughing: this girl laughs all day long and she keeps us laughing all day long.
2. She still is yet to break 30 pounds but she's eating better and better. She's really good about eating her fruit and veggie's. But she is my child. She loves her sweets. Black licorice and she often asks for cupcakes. Which is very random. I usually eat all those before she knows their in the house...I kid I kid
3. She still loves dance. She is getting better and better at following directions and waiting her turn.

They sing  "Say to the Lord I love you" I swear I tear up. it's so sweet.

4. She has some funny sayings these days the girl is like a sponge:

*She'll grab her purse and say "Well...I better get going"
*Hannah to me: "Mamma, I love your house,
Me: I said H this is your house too.
Hannah: "Mamma, I love my house"

she can't say "Jesus" it comes out like "Cheese-us"

5. She also has some not so good habits. Like this (and yes I plan on showing this at her wedding)

ALL day long that finger is up her nose! She's not even digging for gold. She just sticks her finger up her nose.

This is also a new one.

She does get in trouble for this one. Look at the intensity in her eyes. She did this because we wouldn't let her watch Bubble Guppies. Don't mess with Bubble Guppies or you'll get this look.

I just don't know where she gets the sassy from :)

MLK

Happy MLK/Inauguration day!!

How shall I spend my day? hmmm? How about on the couch with a cup of wine, running errands, cleaning hanging with my girl.

I almost sent her to the sitter, then Mommy guilt set in. It's would be different if I had something to do but I don't. Plus there is something about being here alone that is starting to freak  with my imagination. Note to self: STOP WATCHING ID CHANNEL.

So today H and I will be celebration MLK and NOT watching the inauguration by oh I don't know...shopping, lunch, and ice cream. Then when she's all jacked up on sugar we'll head over to dance class tonight.

Yesterday, M and I actually went out ALONE for lunch, drinks and a movie. We tried this new restaurant called Local Lime The margarita's and the guacamole was to DIE for. nom nom. Then we went and saw: Dark Thirty Zero or whatever the hell it's called. M's pick not mine.

It was just ok in my book.

So my lovely husband thought he should move my treadmill in the house from the garage...that was  7 days ago.

Well, the dang thing wouldn't fit through the bedroom door.
So M started taking it apart. Piece by Piece

GASP, I instantly started hyperventilating but I couldn't let M see the doubt in my eyes as he started taking my treadmill apart.

I just kept saying, "let's just leave in the garage", "it's ok, I sort of love it in the garage" When I wanted to yell "STOP IN THE NAME OF LOVE!" "Put that wrench down and put my treadmill back together and put it BACK in the garage"

Taking a girl's treadmill apart when she is training is grounds for separation.

So now my treadmill is back in the garage...in 2 pieces... I swear if that thing isn't put back together. M's toothbrush will be dipped in the toilet.

God love 'em

Monday Musings

I've been waiting a month of Monday's to steal this title from Marty (did anyone else know this is her nickname?) But I didn't have anything to ramble about. and apparently I still don't. womp womp

We've been sick in the Lassen house. Puke, snot, coughing, germs the whole nine yards. Its been a real treat.
Now that I have Lysol the house, open some window's thank you Friday 70 degree weather
We are well and back to our regular scheduled program.

Sick means no running, which means I was all Shaniqua these last few days.

Whose idea was it to run the LR Marathon in March? Training in the winter BLOWS. I did put my big girl panties on and went for a run with M last night. It was FREEZING. I ran just shy of 4.5 miles. I couldn't feel my legs or any part of my face. More importantly I ran out of places to wipe my forever runny nose.  So I took my snot nose self home.(TMI?)

So, I'm loving all the new trash T.V shows: Shameless, Girls, Deception and my new all time fave Vanderpump Rules Don't judge

and just because she's so dang cute and growing too dang fast... I leave you with my pride and joy!

sing it girl! We like to say "she's making a joyful noise unto the Lord" She can't help that she can't carry a tune in a bucket. She gets that from me!

Oh side adorable convo: Me to H "Where is MaMaw?" H: "With Chese-us" a.k.a Jesus
Love me some her.

Just the three of us

Seven days of no house guest equals seven days of Mike and I pretending we're on our honeymoon no one screaming  because their show was interrupted to record the new episode of Honey Boo Boo!

Don't get me wrong, we love having N and Mimi with us. N is like a brother to M. And he buys nice gifts, takes out the trash, picks up dinner AND I don't have to rub his feet to return the favor.
MIMI can stay because she's MIMI...duh. I owe that women my life.  She's wonderful and not to mention my wardrobe doubled when she got here.

I'm not going to lie, it was nice being just the two of us. For like 2.5 seconds...lol. I kid we had fun. We ate dinner together, watched movies, shopped and even thought about throwing a party before they came home. It was nice, it was very nice.

M seems to be doing better and better each day. Of course there are some odds and ends that he has to tie up and thankfully everyone is working together without drama. I can't believe it's been one month. Time surely heels all wounds. H keeps asking for her. Of course we say she's with Jesus. And usually H's say "oh ok" but lately she's been saying "no, she's at the hospital" which usually ignites the water works for me. So, my plan today is to find a book. I still feel that she's a little too young but I know she feels and realizes that L is missing.

ok enough of that.

This weekend my wonderful husband took H to her very first movie. I was so torn.  I really wanted to go but I had plans to have drinks with a friend of mine for her birthday. I'm a sucker for drinks and girl talk. M assured me he'd be fine and he would take pictures.

M said H did awesome! She sat in her lap the entire time eyeballs glued to the screen! I'm sure it had nothing to do with the COKE or the Twizzlers or the BUTTER POPCORN.

So sweet. He is such a good daddy.

So, since things were going a-ok with those two. I took it upon myself to go see THIS IS 40 after drinks.

 GO SEE IT!

Tuesday Thoughts.

I finally made an appointment with the “Dr. Feel good” as M likes to call her.

She LOVES to hand out any and all type of prescription meds. She’s great and came highly recommend by Samantha.

My hip has been jacked up since October. She gave me two options A. Game over and I should shut it down and send me to the Glue factory or B. a high dose of anti-inflammatory

Of course I took the meds

Ugh. I don’t mind  “vino veins” but I’m not a big fan of meds flowing through my system.

We’re trying it for a month and then she recommend a cortisone shot.

UM NO THANKYOUVERY MUCH.

So, basically I paid $25.00 for her to tell me I have beginning stages of arthritis and inflation.
 I’m in the wrong business.

“Dr. Feel good” was telling me how her daughter is running the Little Rock Marathon. She said she didn’t want to put on the “freshmen ten” so she sign her McDonald’s eating butt up for the marathon. WOW who does that? I’m impressed.

I planned on taking December off to rest and shove my face with delicious fatty foods but I just can’t.  I really feel the need to run. Not so much far but I need to run for my sanity. Plus it gives me a reason NOT to do the INSANITY Work out. Who brought that mess into my house? That is no joke. I barely made it through the witness test.

Next topic up for rambling...So why do I feel the sudden urge to take a day off work to clean my house? Not that I live on Nasty Lane but things need to get done I.E laundry, dusting, finishing Christmas decorations and Cleaning out my DVR while drinking wine definitely counts as house cleaning. Right?

Last topic of Rambling.
My Husband.  I love me some him. Bless him for putting up with my mode swings, OCD, long runs, student loans, random diets, and my no sleeping with a fan on rule.

And just because she's so dang cute, here's a picture of H. Can you tell she's my child!

I hope I never forget these moments...

Can I just say being a Mother really does have its moments.
Great Moments of joy, laughter...
and sometimes tears, cursing, and yelling...but we won't talk about those few moments that make you go into the garage and chug a beer

I never want to forget these moments that I have with Hannah. She really has turned into her own little person. I can't believe how much personality this little 26pd 2 year old really has.

I realize some of these things won't be as funny to (all 3 of my readers) but I don't want to forget these moments:

#1
Me: (asking Mike) Where's Manny?
Hannah: Outside tearing up the flowers. lol..Which he does ALL the time

#2
In target:
MOMMY...I FARTED....*shoot me now*

#3
Driving by target.
Hannah: Mommy I go to target and get  ICEE

#4
As soon as we get in the house Hannah says: "Mama..I put T-Shirt and Shorts on.
girl is obsessed with T-shirts and shorts. I guess she's see us changing when we get home. Hannah HAS to put on a white T-Shirt and her jersey shorts

#5
She'll get her tennis shoes and put them on, stretch and say "I go for a run" lol...too cute

#6
Hannah in the bath tub...splashing like a fish out of water
Me: WHAT ARE YOU DOING?
Hannah: TEA PARTY mama..TEA PARTY...
ME: confused...

#7
In Target. H is done with her ICEE and ready to go
Hannah: Mama I go home
ME: OK sugar we'll leave in just a minute
Hannah: You driving nuts (translation..."You're driving me nuts"....I guess I should stop saying that)

#8
H got a really super cool grocery cart for her birthday. She loves it. she puts her baby in it and pushes it around the house and collects things like a KLEPTO. BUT the sweet  part is she always puts the baby bottle next to her baby and occasionally will stop and feed her baby. so sweet.

LOVE ME SOME HANNAH!!

Hannah vs. The Big Girl Potty

The Lassen's have arrived in Potty Training hell phase. We probably could have done it back in July. But I'm being totally honest when I say I didn't have the patience or the time or the dedication.

She was ready. I wasn't. And we ALL have to be ready. This is truly a Group/Family Activity

I googled "How to know when your child is ready to potty train?"

She showed all the signs of being ready.

1. leaves the room to go number 2
2. Wakes up dry
ETC. ETC.

We knew she was ready when A. she was telling us she had to go potty and B. She was changing her own "dirty" diapers.

So we hit it hard these past few weeks.

Hannah's sitter is great in a lot of ways but really great with the potty training. Hannah would go great for her. Like 3-4 times a day. But when she got home she screamed when we put her on the potty. ugh...so frustrating.

This past week my dad kept Hannah and he really worked with her too. She has really made progress in just a week.

Today we had a great day. She would say "potty" and go to the potty seat. I was so proud. She had 3 accidents today but they totally were not her fault. Really it wasn't her dad's fault either...oh wait yes it was...I kid.. It was the football game's fault. He got distracted.

Granted we haven't left the house. That will be the test. Oh wow...I'm scared.

I can't believe we're already at the potty training stage...where does the time go?

Wow where  did my life go? Did I just write a post about the potty? LOL!! I kid..I love my potty training life and wouldn't change it for anything.

Dance

We signed H up for dance class again. I just couldn't resist....

I mean look at this girl...She's got moves... and the world needs to see it.

After reading the fine print of "what to expect for dance class" it was suggest that she have a "dance bag" with her name on it. I looked on Etsy and found some super cute ones. I've seen a few girls with this bag and I'm just not one to get the same as others. Plus how hard could it be to make one?

Off I go to Hobby Lobby

I found a super cheap canvas bag for $2.99. Then I wondered around the fabric selection until I found red fabric. I think I paid $6.25 for it.

I attempted to pin the fabric on the canvas...just long enough for my MIL to come in and say "Do you know what you are doing..." thankfully she took it from there. I don't have the fondest idea how to work a sewing machine.

Canvas Bag: $2.99
Fabric:  $6.25
Bows:  $1.99
Embroidery: $10.00
Total: $21.23...WINNER
