Busy Week

It’s been awhile my friends….

I’ve been quite the social butterfly these last two week.

Monday- was payroll Monday. Shoot me now. I had to work late, like really late because the  time clocks were down and no one could figure out their "worked time" so we had to do it all manual. Let us reflect on my math skills….ZERO. I wanted to come home and chug multiple ice cold bud lights but I refrained.

Tuesday- Beauty shop day! Duh… I love Tuesdays, I’ve become pretty close to my beautician. So it’s more of an social hour, you know the kind that makes you step out of the beauty shop full of gossip, swinging your hair white girl style. Yep! And that is why I don’t miss a Tuesday.

Wednesday- I got a call from a friend. She decided to…let’s see how do I say this… part ways from her  DBAG, husband …. So proud of her, for standing up for what she deserves. SO what does a girl do?…She gets the biggest bottle of wine, drops by the bakery and shows up at her house for booze, cupcakes and CA*** bashing. Oh the life of a girl.

Thursday- BUNCO. I love Bunco. It’s a bunch of women boozing, eating and throwing dice. AND leaving with a prize. WINNING. (and yes, I do realize going to Bunco ages me) but hey, I’m 25 and I look dang good. Ok 32…

Friday- I get a lovely text from my husband:

HA, bless his heart he missed me.

So we had a low key night. H went to bed early so we had a home date, which I love.

We watched Sinister. Help me Jesus. He watched it, I plugged my ears and closed my eyes for 98% of the movie. I guess being scared is not for the old. I can’t have my blood pressure raising like that. Too dangerous.

I did get a few runs in here and there. And by few I mean maybe 2 long runs. BUT I’ve been watching what I’ve been putting in my pie hole, walking to my building instead of taking the shuttle and walking up and down 7 flights of stairs daily.

You know instead of heading to the cafeteria for fresh baked cookies. I hit the stairs.

This week, I told myself I was not planning stuff during the week. H’s party is on Saturday and I had major stuff to do. Like clean out the pantry, shampoo the carpets, use the magic eraser on EVERYTHING in the house. Yes, I was a fanatic.

Did I abide by that… we’ll no.

Bunco Anyone?

Yep, I wouldn’t have thought in a million years I’d be a Bunco girl!
BUT I AM.
AND I’m hooked after just one night.
Wine, Girl Talk,  laughing, Music, Dessert, and did I mention wine? Where do I sign up?
This picture immediately came to mind when my friend mentioned Bunco

You know, proper old ladies who never talk above a whisper, smell like Ben Gay, and always have 5-7 pieces of Werther's Originals in their pocket. Yeah, not my idea of fun. I can't whisper, Ben Gay makes my nose run and I prefer 5-7 glasses wine over Werther's originals.

Good times! I can't wait for next month.

AND SCENE! I am officially old!

Lately

Wohoo Go Raven's!
Ha. That's funny. Me trying to act like I watched the super bowl. I only cheered because I knew this was the end to football!

BRING ON THE BASEBALL!

The Lassen's have taken residence on Boring Lane.
I have to admit I'm enjoying myself on Boring Lane.

I've occupied myself with H, house cleaning, DIY projects, baking, eating, running, and bird watching. I really wish I was lying about that last one but I'm not. I've become obsessed with these new bird feeders. Yes, I'm 96 years old.

I was tired of looking at these boring chairs

So I did this to them

LOVE THEM.

Then I got tired of my boring door:

Then I was tired of this (last one I promise)

And just becuase she's so cute. I found H painting her nails with my concealer.

I lost my lipstick

DATE NIGHT...yeah buddy..I should be excited when the hubs wants to take me out on a Friday night. RIGHT?

True but this girl was tired and had big plans for her Friday night.

I had all the intentions on spending my Friday night getting a good run in then putting my big comfy clothes on and starting a random project...or maybe bake cookies. I had it all planned out.
It was total lazy day weather. Rain, dark, cool outside...LOVE IT

Mike was like party up babe...let's do it....let's go...night out..blah blah blah

Ten minutes later

Me: Do you still want to go?
Mike: BABE YES go get ready...
Me: *5 minutes later...Do you still want to go? *at this point neither one of us had showered from our run and it was pushing 9pm.
Oh did I mention it was pouring outside?!!

The only place we(heathens) can go in this lovely dry county that we live in is partially outside on the back porch...true story..

ugh...rain...I hate being out in rain

I put my big girl panties on and went. (and for the record had a blast. Mike cracks me up..seriously dude isnt' right. I heart him)

The first "bar" not to be confused with the Sunday after church catfish buffet..because truly it is the SAME place..was without a doubt the best people watching a girl can ask for.
Hands down something right out of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo...

two buckets of beer and 3 shots...enough said...

Oh....but the fun didn't stop there...we ventured across the county line..

REDANGDICULOUS...is all I have to say. WOW..This bar was hmmm...different? BUT I LOVED EVERY MINUTE

They were dropping it like it was hot...The big girls were backing it up...then they'd throw in a song about a man and his dog...then they'd cupid shuffle...then they'd do a line dance..I mean the music was all over the place...

Next thing I knew the clock read 2:38am. I started doing the math in my head.

"H will be up in5 hours and I'm not even home yet"...ugh...buzz kill

So I rounded up my husband..who what chatting it up with the randoms.. and said we had to go... BUT then I realized I lost my favorite lipstick..ugh.. give me a few beers and I'm a mess.

My brutally honest friend Lauren says THIS SONG was written for me. And she's 100% right.

One the way home it took everything in me to resist the McDonald's drive through. Those french fries were CALLING MY NAME.

I held strong and went home.

BUT I may or may not have gotten McDonald's for lunch...and  notice my running mileage hasn't gone up... I was a total BUM all day.
