Memorial Day

It's hard not to overshadow Memorial day as just a day off from work or a day full of drinks and BBQ's.

We don't realize how much people really sacrifice for our freedom.

I was really proud to see that Devin went to visit his grandpa's grave site. I love that kid. We are so proud of him and miss Devin so much.

We also love and miss Lloyd. We know that he is above smiling down on us.

Life is BETTER on the LAKE

So one benefit of living out of state is having friends who live in a different state AKA having a place to travel for Holiday Weekends! So when Mike's long lost High School friend invited us to the Lake for the weekend. I was SUPER excited.Who couldn't pass it up. I LOVE DALLAS .  If we don't get transferred back to St. Louis, I hope we get transferred to Dallas.

Mike's friend Adrian is scheduled to sign his life over get married this July. We hadn't had the opportunity to meet his fiance so this was a great opportunity to hang out and get to know her. Which we LOVE LISA! She is absolutely wonderful and we wish the absolute best for them.We can't wait to celebrate their wedding day with them.

AND it was a total BONUS that our great friends TOMMY and TARA we're driving from Houston to meet us. We love seeing them.

Saturday we ate breakfast on the dock and enjoyed some music from this guy.

After we ate we headed to the Party Cove. Which totally reminded me of the Lake of the Ozarks. Sun, Drinks and FRIENDS...Does it get any better than this?

After we were baked in the sun all day we headed to Sneaky Pete's because we just hadn't had enough BEER beverages on the boat. It was a fun place. They had a game room, a pool outside, a band and a outside bar. It was like an adult playground with BEER.

We had a BALL! It was so nice to get away and enjoy some adult fun!

My parents drove down from St. Louis and stayed with Hannah. They were MORE than excited to get some one on one time alone with her. AKA buy her clothes, give her pop tarts for breakfast and give her as much juice as she wanted. I gave Hannah a glass of water this morning and Hannah took one drink and said "Mamma Juice"... I swear you give them an inch and they take a mile.lol..

May Randomness

Hannah had her first trip to the Nail Salon. We have to get our toes pretty for Summer.

She loved all the attention from the sweet ladies at the salon.

This picture pretty much sums up what we'll be doing most of the summer.
 1. Swing Set
 2. BBQ - Mike in his JORTS I'm sure. Now he wears them JUST to rub my rhubarb. ugh...
 3. BUBBLES
 4. POOL and lots of trips to the neighborhood pool.
 5. That little white glow is my husband...He'll be spending lots of time sunbathing to get  ride of that    ridiculous "I'm in DESPERATE NEED of SUN look

Last night H was playing in her room and I had that "she's being a little too quite" feeling. I went and checked on her and she was holding  "BEAR" and soothing him aka light pats on the back. It was so sweet.

Bear must have gotten scared while they were watching POOH....

That's about where H's girlie girl moment stopped. A few minutes later H came out with a daiper, a wipe, and  baby powder and said "Mamma Turd" LOL...

GUESS It's time to start the potty training....

WEEKEND FUN...

We had a lot going on this weekend in STL. (dinner, Hannah's pictures, bachelor party, pizza party, school visits with Aunt Leslei, shopping, delivering Devin's car, margarita's...I was exhausted before we left) I originally thought I'd stay home and enjoy a peaceful weekend with just me and H, but then I couldn't resist seeing all of my friends and family. SO I loaded Red Rocket and hit the road
With Manny included. WAS I CRAZY? He actually did really well, and so did Hannah. ME...not so much...5 hours of Barney will drive anyone crazy.

I love going home, it's exhausting but SO WORTH IT. We don't stop from the minute we get there.
We took H to Happy Joe's one night. It was so fun seeing Stacey, Madi,Lauren, Devin and Amber.
After pizza (and a little beer) we went to THE MOST AMAZING ICE CREAM IN THE WORLD...aka
TED DREWS

OF course we had to go RUIZ and see our love RACHAEL and have a few Margarita's

WE saw TEE-TEE Lauren. I love this picture. We love our LAUREN

Can't forget MA...apparently HARVEY was a little sweet on MA

Hannah and MA...

We also got to visit Aunt Leslei in her class room. Hannah LOVE it and all of her toys. H especially loved PETE THE CAT.. That is definitely going on the birthday list.

On our last day we spent some time with Grandma. 4 Generations here.

We ended our weekend with Devin. and he ended his weekend with a car. I'm still in shock that he is driving. We miss him and love him so much.
