I just love me some Lauren...

This past weekend, my WONDERFUL & TALENTED,friend Lauren came for a visit. Lauren and I were roommates in college. Stranglely enough, we didn't go to the same college. I went to St. Louis University and Lauren and most of my friends went to Fontbonne University. Let's just say, I studied at SLU and PARTIED at Fontbonne, and boy did Lauren and I party. We had some GOOD times. aaahhh...Memories... She has been such a great friend through the years. We've been through boys, break ups, TERRIBLE roommates, long nights, spying on dates, "camping" trips, road trips, engagements, weddings you name it, we've done it and we've most likely laughed through it all.
Lauren is very talented with photograhpy and has been hired (for life) as Hannah's photographer. We had a good time taking Hannah's pictures. Here are my two favorites:

I can't wait to see the other (356+) pictures...

Love is in the air...

I love love love Valentines Day. It has always been my favorite holiday. I just love all the hearts, candy and the spirit of love (cheesy, I know)I remember as a small child waking up and running to the kitchen table to find our Valentine treats. Mom would always have candy and cards and there would always be something special from my dad. Every year, dad would always get us something.I remember getting stuff in high school from dad. Actually to be honest, it has only been since I've gotten married that the Valentine gifts have stopped from my dad. It's kind of sad, but I guess I am almost 25 years old(plus a few years, yep I'm already lying about my age).

This Valentines Day, really started off rocky. Hannah is still fighting her nasty cough so needless to say, Mike and I didn't get much sleep last night. Mike is still dying a.k.a has a cold and is in no shape for romance or talking for that matter. He was so out of it this morning, that he stepped on his glasses and broke them. I don't know why I find that HILARIOUS but I do. He was so pitiful "Amie...I stepped on my glasses...and they broke..."

He did however surprise me with Cardinal tickets!! I am super excited!!! For one that means we get to go to STL and we get to go to a Cardinal game!!! I am super pumped. Many of you already know, but Mike and I met on Opening Day 2006. So it's always a good time to go to games together. That was the extent of my excitment for today, Mike had to work late so I spent the rest of my evening organizing Hannah's closet.

We did hit a small milestone with Hannah today. Today was her first day in the "Big Kids" room at daycare. She has graduated from the "Infant Room" I just can't believe she isn't consider an infant anymore. I'm actually glad that she was moved. She was the oldest baby in her class, by far. The little babies sleep most of the day, and Hannah is very busy. With her moving up she is now with her previous classmates who are crawling or on the verge of crawling. Now,she can get down and play with the kids. "Playing" really consist of the other kids trying to get Hannah's bow or playing tug a war with a loose sock. It's all very cute.

Here are a few pictures of Hannah, She recieved a few Valentine Cards today, She was more than excited when she got her card from her Aunt Leslei...can you tell?

Sunday, February 13, 2011

I know I probably say this every Sunday, but I LOVE SUNDAY's!!! Especially when the weather is nice. I just love the carefree of this day. On Saturdays I'm usually running errands or cleaning but on Sundays I'm just so care free, if it gets done it gets done if it doesnt' than who cares.

Today,I mainly cared for my "sick" husband. He wants everyone to know if he doesn't make it, that he loves them. He simply has a cold but he is sure that he is dying. So off I went to Krogers to get him: Freeze pops, vitamin C and chicken noodles soup. I'm no doctor but I think he's going to make it.

Normally,I would be making Valentine treats, but seeing as I have no self control with sweets, and I have some pounds to be losing. I skipped the treats this year and made Hannah more baby food. I love making baby food. It is so cheap and easy. Today, I made sweet potatoe. Hannah's favorite.
I got 9 jars out of 2 large sweet potatoes.
Then we tried our new fruit for the week. MANGO!!! Hannah Loved it!!
Then we did a little laundry
all in all, I'd say we had a nice productive and lazy day!!

Our Crazy Mimi

This pass weekend, Mike was in STL, and I was less than thrilled to stay home alone. I know I'm almost 30, but weekends alone is just not my thing. It didn't take much convincing to get my mom down here. It's so funny, Our first year in Arkansas we didn't have any visitors, now we get them a couple times a month. WE love it!! I miss my friends and family so much. I just love to see them. It's amazing how much Hannah has changed all of our lives. Hannah has the best Grandparents. They love her so much and would do anything for her, including shopping. We are so blessed. This girl wants for nothing.

So, needless to say I was more than excited to have my mom here for a girls weekend. It would be like old times, we'd shop all day. Grab lunch, come home get in our jammies, drink wine and watch Law & Order, and chat about nothing until we fall asleep. (sleep is one thing I have a hard time doing when Mike is out of town) next thing I knew, My mom was passed out and I was "BRIGHT EYED and BUSHY TAILED"

Sunday was superbowl, Which I could care less about but Mom was pretty excited. She got all the food ready and got her game face on

Yes, that is a "Mizzou" Jersey but she justified it because the colors were the same as the Steelers, and YES, she has pig tails in. She also wrote "Go Steelers" on her cheeks, and it was hilarious when she found out she wrote it backwards. She definately won the Spirit award for the night. It's never a dull moment with my mom.
