Hannah at the ripe old age of 10 Months

I so vaguely remember that last week of pregnancy. I was wadding around in my own personal summer. It was a site for sore eyes. And here we are now 10 month's later. I can't believe how fast time has flown by.

She is the joy of our life. We can't imagine life without her.

She is very busy these days. I have to be really creative when I take her monthly pictures.

Here is Hannah in a nutshell:

She loves to play pickaboo or "Where's Hannah"

She claps when she is very excited. She loves music. She rocks back and forth when she hears music play. (it's very cute) She loves to play what we call "Put in... Take out" it could be anything, a laungry basket, a bucket whatever. She puts her toys in...and takes her toys out...

We have all these educational " Little Einstein" toys and she rather play with the laundry basket and blocks that were found at a yard sale. Go figure.

Hannah also enjoys being read to. Her favorite book is "Puppies and Kittens"

She is very vocal. "Dada and Mamma" are still her only real words but there is a lot being said from those tiny lips, we just don't speak baby babble. She also loves to motor boat with her lips, curles/twist her little tongue and sings LaLaLa

She is eating very well. We are introducing her to more and more table food. She is not a picky eater and loves food. We finally found a sippy cup with a strawl, it's the only one we've had success with.

Soo Hannah has always been a mamma's girl and I'd like to think she still is as long as daddy isn't within eye shot... Boy when he walks in the room she kicks me to the curb. She will hear the garage and she'll listen for the door, her little face lights up when she see's her daddy.

We feel so blessed to have Hannah and as much as I hate to see her grow so fast, everyday there is something new that she discovers and it's exciting for all of us.

"These are a few of my favorite things..."

I feel as though Hannah is growing so fast... right before our eyes... Everyday there is something new.

I'd like to thank my dad for "walking" Hannah all around the house. That is all she wants to do these days.

She will crawl right too you and reach/grab for your two pointer fingers and pull herself up..She is ready for you to walk her around the house. She has some what of the "frankenstein" walk but she's getting around. As cute as it is to see her try to walk, I'm so not ready for her to walk.

We are very blessed with grandma's who love to shop for Hannah's toys. Our living room is proof. Of all the toys, Hannah LOVES the TV remote and her "oh so lovely Cinderella wand"

We have all been singing: "Salagadoola mechicka boola bibbidi-bobbidi-boo
Put 'em together and what have you got bibbidi-bobbidi-boo"

It's really cute, She has learned to push the button to make the music go on and off. As the music plays she rocks back and forth... It's so cute, It's the little things that make my day.

Hannah also has a new obsession with strawls, we've tried EVERY sippy cup made. We had little success, she never took well to them. She couldn't grasp the concept of #1, sip and not chew on the nipple and #2 you gotta hold the cup up to get the liquid. HOWEVER she loves strawls... So off I went to find a sippy cup with a strawl... So far it's been a success

Hannah is also adjusting to "table" food well. She doesn't get much but what she does get she LOVES. Tonight, she had mashed potatoes, to my surprise she kept reaching for her spoon (WITH HER LEFT HAND!!! I'm so proud) so I let her go after it...it was messy but she definately got the idea of food on spoon goes to mouth!

We've had a challenging few days this pass week. BUT we realize and now see that God was already in the working for great new things for Hannah. This week we have decided to pull Hannah out of daycare. I have to admit, I'm not at all going to miss the germs of daycare. I am more than happy with our choice.

I'm loving every moment of Hannah's "New Things" I've never taken so many pictures in my life. Mike and I are so thankful for our healthy baby.

PaPaw & Mimi

Hannah couldn't ask for better Grandparents. They would travel the world to see her. We are very fortunate to have them, we love that they are able to come visit often.

Saturday we spent the day shopping. Mom and I figured it is never to early to start Hannah. She did pretty well in the stores. She LOVES to be in the (very sanitized with the seat cover...yes..I'm that girl) shopping cart.

It's always nice when my dad is able to make the trip to see us. While I may not always have a green thumb, my dad does. I love to take advantage of it when he is here. This weekend we planted trees, flowers and set up the bird & hummingbird feeders. My goal is to not kill them..we shall see..

All in all we had a great weekedend

Mother's Day 2011

I could not have asked for a better Mother's Day. It started with breakfast in bed by my lovely husband...it may have only been a gronola bar..but he is a little challenged in the kitchen and of course it gave me a laugh which he is always good at doing. It was a beautiful day outside, we enjoyed being outside and hanging with some friends.

Mother's day has always been a special day for my family. Mom, Amber, Wanda, me and Grandma would always get together for the day. I miss those days still...but this year on Mother's day I was really thankful for the blessing of Hannah. She has completely change our life. I can't imagine life without her. I will be forever thankful that God has blessed us with a happy healthy baby.

These kids better stop growing so fast...they're making Mike old...

So this week was a pretty big week for the Lassen kiddos.

It seems like yesterday (I guess it's been 5 years of yesterdays), Devin was calling me Amos Otis or Side Show Bob (it could be worse) and we'd be wrapped up in some "Scary Boy" movie or a silly TV show. He'd come visit us and we would watch hours of movies/TV. Mike and Devin would always out number me on the family vote so I would always get stuck watching South Park or a movie like Inglorious Bastards. I can't wait until Hannah is old enough to vote. After we cought up on all the missed South Park episodes, we'd break for food at "Hooters" which I know is totally inappropriate, but I had ZERO vote when it comes to Mike and Devin. Trust me it wasn't cool to have your wife or stepmom with you at Hooters. Amazingly Mike and Devin's "love for their wings" came to an end and we haven't been their for a very long time.
Anywho, I talked to Devin today, and he informs me that he is DRIVING! So proud of him for getting his driving permit. But it is still CRAZINESS!!! Look out road.

Hannah's news, not as big as Devins...but still falls under the lines of "STOP GROWING UP SO FAST" Hannah was officially moved to the "Big Kid's" room at her daycare. She's adjusting pretty well...me not so much. Mike keeps telling me this is a good thing, which I know it is, but it's so sad that she is now out of the infant rooms.
