It's never to young to start on Hannah's shoe collection. This past weekend we ventured to the "Big City of Conway, AR" and boy did we hit the jack pot. We had our first experience with Shoe Choo otherwise known as a "Funky Childrens Shoe Boutique"
First off, the people in this store were above and beyond the southern hospitality that we always receive here in Arkansas. The sweet lady made shopping so fun. I'd be looking around and she'd come over with a "look how darling these are" "Oh you have to see this" and it did help that Hannah loved all the attention she was getting from her.
I found this cute little number for Hannah's birthday outfit. (which I can not believe she'll be 1 years old in a few weeks...TEAR)
Shopping 101 you ALWAYS start with the sale items. We found some great deals on this table.
I was so excited to find KEDS here, Hannah has outgrown her only pair and I LOVE these they look so cute with any outfit.
Every girl needs a pair of red maryjane's. I got these for her to wear in the fall.
OK so I didn't buy these, 1. It's never that cold in Arkansas and 2. I just can't justify that purchase to Mike when she will outgrown them in a month, but they were so cute.
I saved the best for last! How cute are these!!

Let's talk about the pool
Hannah loves to be in the pool! This baby loves the water.
We took her to our neighborhood pool last weekend. She has so much fun with her aunt Leslei
Hannah also has a baby pool in the backyard. She loves it. She gets in that thing and splashes until she wears herself out. Please excuse the no swimsuit she loves to be in the nude, plus no tan lines.
A house needs a grandma in it. ~Louisa May Alcott
Hannah is very blessed with two awesome grandmas. They were both beyond excited to become a grandma(and a grandma again for Linda) They travel for hours just to spend time with her. More importantly, they will fight someone head to head for a great deal on a Carter's outfit (hence her oversized and bountiful closet)
Linda, my wonderful mother in law is fortunate to be in Arkansas with us more often than my mother(yes who is a tade bit jealous). Linda is truley an angel and a TREMENDOUS help. Besides, if I can't be home with Hannah everyday, I figure Grandma is the next best thing. They have a ball together.
They wake up every morning and start their chores (aka water the plants)
Linda sticks Hannah in her little stroller and off they go to the back yard and water all the flowers and the garden, Which is looking outstanding.
I promise if it wasn't for Linda, my flowers would be dead by now.
This hibiscus turned out beautiful.
The garden is holding up in the 95 degree weather. We've "Harvest"(I feel like such a farmer using that word) yellow squash. We also have green peppers, tomatoes, and peppers.
Green thumb or not we love having Linda here. She is truly a blessing. I consider myself very lucky to have such a great relationship with my mother in law.

Happy Father's Day!!
Hannah is blessed what a wonderful dad. He works so hard to provide for his family. After a long day of work he comes right in and goes straight for Hannah. She absolutely loves her dad. She listens for the garage door to open and she gets so excited and runs for the door.
Mike has always been so hands on with Hannah. He loves to feed her and play with her. I know she will grow up to be just like him and become a total tomboy-hence why I always dress her in pink and bows. I better enjoy it while I can.
Hannah had fun helping Daddy open his father's day gifts
We were very excited to have Devin with us this weekend. We had so much fun. Yes- it was double the farts and double the boy movies but we love and miss him so much.

The sweetest touch
So... My sweet little Angel has been in rare form these last few days. Her halo needs a little adjusting. She has been a bear. I blame it on teething. She goes from a sweet cuddling little baby to a mean doesn't want anything to do with anyone BEAR.
So tonight, she is having one of her famous "I'm so tired I'm about to act a fool fits" and boy was she testing my patients. I thought, "I just need to get her in her jammies and give her a bottle". " I can do this" Which would be no problem if dressing Hannah didn't require 2 people and a rope (kidding) Dressing Hannah is compared to dressing a fish out of water. She is flipping and flopping every which way. It's maddness.
After she is in her jammies, we head to her bedroom, turn her Baby Enstien music on (which better pay off)..I gave her her bottle and we rocked and rocked..I thought...finally VICTORY...she's asleep..WRONG....
Plan B... Lay down with Hannah and pretend to be asleep. Once she is asleep place her in her crib. (yep, you read it right...Don't judge..You do what you gotta do to get the girl to sleep)
so there we are laying down and Hannah lays next to me and....... puts her little arm around me. (as though she is saying...ahhh.. I love you mommy)
It was the sweetest thing.
I immediately thanked God for our precious little Hannah. I feel so blessed to have a heathly daughter and I never want to take that for granted. Fussy Hannah or not..We still love her and it's moments like that that make being a mommy all worth it.

The Diaper Change Challenge
So as you all know, I was not a huge fan of babies/kids or anything to do with children. It was a major shock to everyone when Mike and I were expecting. After the shock of being pregnant, I became very excited and HIT the books. I was clueless. So here I am studing, like I was working on a second college degree. I had 9 months to learn how to take care of a baby.I was very by the book with everything with Hannah and often reference the book "What to expect when expecting" and "What to expect the firts year"
Well I want to know where the section on "My kid won't sit still when I'm trying to change her diaper is?" I mean really did they leave that chapter out?!
It's like trying to tame a wild horse. You can forget about changing her on the changing table. You have to take it to the floor with lots of space.
We've tried everything to distract her: Binkies, Toys, Singing, Funny faces, Peek a Boo... you name it. We've come to the realization that she is just "Too Busy" to sit and get her diaper changed.

IT'S SUMMER TIME
I welcome summer with open arms. I LOVE summer and all that comes with it: working in the yard, the challenge of keeping my flowers/garden alive, pool, sun dresses, sandles, BBQ, Sun Tea....LOVE IT. It also means frequent visits from family.
My Sis, was our first official summer guest. I love having Amber here and having a girl to do girl things with.
We thought it would be fun to get Hannah a baby pool. She LOVED it. She is a total water baby.
